This course provides firefighters that may be expected to perform on Rapid Intervention Teams skills such as Firefighter removals from upper floors, roofs, and other areas where rope skills will improve safety and efficiency of operations. This course will not provide in-depth discussion concerning air management or team structure. This course will, however, assist students in establishing basic equipment layouts that can be used for multiple operations for the standard fire department that does not have a technical rescue equipment base. This course will be taught in accordance with applicable components of NFPA 1407 – 2020 edition.
