The Sterling 6mm Accessory Cord is a durable 100% nylon cord designed for prusiks, cordelettes, anchor building, and other general utility applications. The 6 mm cord has a 1,843 lb minimum breaking strength, is certified to EN 564, and is made in the USA. It is not intended for use as a lead climbing rope.
This strong and versatile accessory cord can be used in a wide range of applications. The smaller diameter Alpine cord in 3-5mm can be used for tie-down straps, tent guys, clothesline, tool tethers, zipper pulls and shoelaces. The larger diameter accessory cords ranging from 6-8 mm are great for prusiks, cordelettes, anchor building, and more. Accessory cords are not for use as lead climbing ropes.
