The RNA 11.8mm Blue Crush is a versatile 24 strand climbing rope designed for both SRS and MRS systems. Its 100% polyester construction provides low elongation, abrasion resistance, heat resistance, and smooth handling through climbing hardware. The firm sheath helps keep debris away from the core while remaining supple and spliceable. Blue Crush has a 29.7 kN MBS, 2.2% elongation at 330 lbs, and meets CE EN 1891 Type A.
Blue Crush is not the first “dual purpose” rope for SRS and MRS, but it is the first to do both well. The smooth and supple 24 strand sheath and low profile splice make it ideal for MRS, while it’s low elongation allows it to excel in SRS. The 100% polyester construction provides increased abrasion resistance, reduced friction, lower elongation, and better heat resistance.
