The RNA 8mm RIT Squatch Spliced Eye & Eye Hitch Cord is built for consistent friction and durability in arborist climbing systems. Its heat resistant RIT 500 construction and firm Aramid sheath provide dependable grip, abrasion resistance, and resistance to glazing. Available in 28, 30, and 32 inch lengths, the hitch cord has a 24.1 kN minimum breaking strength and meets ANSI Z133 requirements.
The RIT 8 mm Eye and Eye is made from the high performing, heat resistant RIT 500 cord. It has a firmer, tight Aramid sheath for superior durability and is non-glazing. Extensively field tested by professional arborists, the RIT 8 mm Eye and Eye provides even and consistent friction in a wide variety of hitches.
These hitch cords feature CNC sewn eyes on each end. The sewn eyes are every bit as strong as a hand spliced eye, but we can offer them at a lower price. For a consumable item such at this, the lower priced sewn eyes make a lot of sense for many climbers.
