The SKEDCO Half Sked is designed to assist with patient extrication through narrow passages where some bending at the hips is required. At half the length of a standard Sked but the same width, it allows greater flexibility when moving around tight corners and confined spaces. Two cross straps secure the upper body, while two groin straps help prevent downward movement. The Half Sked weighs 7 lb and is made in the USA. It is not intended for hoisting or immobilization.

The Half-Sked was designed to assist in extricating patients through narrow passages where some bending of the patient is required. Half-Sked is half the length of the standard Sked and the same width. This short length allows the patient to bend at the hips, permitting greater flexibility to corners in the most demanding of tight spaces.
