The GIBBS 1/2″ Stainless Steel Shell Ascender is built for litter raising and load hauling applications that require added strength and durability. Its stainless steel shell and forged aluminum cam provide dependable performance, while the spring loaded cam can be converted to free running operation when needed. The ascender works with 7/16 inch and 1/2 inch rope, has a 5,400 lbf breaking strength, and is made in the USA. It is not intended for self belay use.

The #2SS Ascender is intended for litter raising and load hauling where extra strength and durability is required. It is NOT intended to be used as a self belay for climbers. Features a stainless steel shell, forged aluminum cam and is spring loaded, but can be converted to a free running cam by removing the connecting pin from the cam. Use with 7/16″ (11 mm) and 1/2″ (13 mm) rope only. Made in the U.S.A.
